We've Got The County Covered

Chinook Senior Center

Hello From the

Chinook Senior Center

After a call to the Blaine County Health Department, last week, I discovered that prior to Mark Weber’s retirement, he had not gotten the information to Laura, to let her know that we had made arrangements for the Stepping On class to be held here. What I DID find out is that Laura has this class planned at the Library Meeting Room, each Wed. from 10:00-11:00 for several weeks. Please excuse this inadvertent mess-up with what Mark & I had planned prior to his retirement.

Our Sugarbeet Festival is fast approaching, and I am hoping that you all get a chance to get out and see all of the vendors and what they have to offer. Our Center is once again, hoping to have a “Float” in the parade.

Wow! We are getting very much needed moisture! We are always grateful for moisture. We are just happy that it isn’t solid and white, yet.

We have been told by our local branch of 1st Bank that they will once again, bring a presentation regarding fraud and safety to our Center on Tues., Oct. 22nd @ 1:00. They were here once before and gave a very informative presentation on keeping all of our private information PRIVATE. Mark your calendars for this one!

We also know that Elaine Morse, Havre Historian, will be here on Wed., October 23rd @ 5:30 for a presentation of Local Homestead History! Mark that one on your calendar as well! Oh, my, we are so fortunate to partner with Sam French (Blaine County Museum Director) for this series. I know that last year was a great experience and many fine people attended. Please be one of them.

As we move out of autumn and into fall, we will be seeking many other activities that will most assuredly appeal to many of you. GET IN HERE!
