Everyone has enjoyed the Sugarbeet Festival, I trust. So many and varied activities for all to enjoy. Lots of effort from many people make this a success, every year. Hooray to all who put the effort forth.

Looks like our weather is getting more “Fallish”, so let’s all enjoy the colors while we can. It is always such a beautiful, sweet, short season to enjoy. Soon, we will see pumpkins and goblins, too. Our Center is once again inviting the school age children to come and Trick or Treat @ 3:30 on Halloween. We all love to see these kiddos all dressed up and sharing their costumes and excitement with us. We most likely, will dress up for them, too.

OUR PIE SOCIAL WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19TH FROM 1:00-3:00, WITH FREE WILL DONATIONS BEING ACCEPTED FOR OUR SENIOR CENTER. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND COME AND ENJOY WONDERFUL, HOMEMADE PIES.

I am currently working on a “Dance Class” for the Two Step only and hope to have that in place in October, as well.

The Pinochle Marathon will be up and running, so if you have questions or wish to join, please contact Ruth Brown @ 357-4253. You will be able to also host your pinochle group, here, if you contact me ahead and make certain that there is no conflict with our schedule.

Our Chinook Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the first ANNUAL Murder Mystery Weekend, to promote our local businesses, on Fri., Oct. 25th & Saturday, Oct. 26th. Please see the posters on the Chamber’s website for more information. There are also numerous posters around town. This will be a fun-filled weekend. YOU MUST BE REGISTERED NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 10TH , to get a team of 4 in on this great weekend.

We have hot coffee, cold ice tea, cookies, friendship, fellowship and a heart for our community. GET IN HERE! We have Cornhole, Cribbage, Pinochle, Paint on Canvas, Diamond Dotz, Bingo, Music and FUN.
