We've Got The County Covered

Chinook Senior Center

Hello From the

Chinook Senior Center

I have been gone for a full week of fun in Boston and let me tell you that the colors weren’t even changing much, as it has been unseasonably warm there. Nevertheless it was a wonderful week spent with my sister and we had so much fun making memories and filling a bucket list. Boston is rich in history and so many places to walk to and think about. What a marvelous time filled with adventures!

We are now charging through October with lots of upcoming activities! We have many fun things slated for October and the colors are getting truly magnificent! Get outside! Smell the Autumn air and enjoy the wonderful display of oranges, golds and reds. It is such a short season and always a favorite. We all know what the next color is in our seasons of Montana.

Our Pie Social will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19th from 1:00-3:00 and we would love for you to come by and enjoy a slice of homemade pies and make a free will donation of your choice. Mark this one on your calendars!

It is my understanding, at this time, that Triangle Telephone will be here on Mon., Oct. 21st for a presentation on “Lifeline”. This is not the one that hangs around your neck and you call for help on. This is something else entirely new to us. Angela will be here @ 11:00 that day and Triangle will be buying lunch for all in attendance.

Tues., Oct. 22nd the 1st Bank Chinook branch will once again be here, presenting information @ 1:00 on how to be safe in today’s world of scammers and scoundrels. Mark this one on your calendars as well. They did a fantastic job the last time and I am certain that they will once again have valuable information.

Wed., Oct. 23rd is a presentation by Elaine Morse (as part of the Speaker Series, with the Blaine County Museum) @ 5:30, here at our wonderful Center! She will be sharing “Local Homestead History”, mostly from the Cottonwood and Simpson areas. Regardless of the areas that she will be presenting, I have always enjoyed the stories of the homesteaders and I am certain that you will, also. I will be your hostess and will be serving Charcuterie boards and beverages.

I am thrilled to once again, be partnering with Sam French, Blaine County Museum Director to host this Speaker series. She is always a delight and most assuredly prepared for these fun, informative sessions.
