We've Got The County Covered
This week the Lady Cats made the trek to play against the Glasgow Scotties.
This wasn't their only road trip as they also adventured into Wolf Point Wolves territory.
Thursday was spent in Glasgow for the Lady Cats Volleyball team. Both teams were found in a sea of pink, as they showcased their colors to raise awareness and support Breast Cancer Survivors. Amid this beautiful homage, neither team delayed in getting into set number one. The Lady Cats stayed neck and neck with the Scotties, but ultimately were left wanting more with the Glasgow team ending the set with a score of 25-17. Although showing that the Lady Cats are a team that works great together, the Scotties maintained a point lead of 8, until they came out on top of the second set ending in 25-10. The Lady Cats were determined to come back in set number three. The Glasgow Scotties again pulled ahead ending the final set with a score of 25-16, and a game match of 3-0.
Once again immersed in their pink, the Wildcats faced the Wolf Point Wolves who shared in their sentiment of colors. The first set was a nail-biting scene as each team matched point to point, toe-to-toe as the set ended with the Wolves 25-24. In set number two, the Wildcats and Wolves were bound and determined to keep a leg up on the competition. Almost as if watching set number once again, each team climbed the scoreboard, leading each other point for point. Eventually the Wolves maintained their two-point lead which resulted in them winning the set 25-21. In the final set, the Lady Cats did not lose tenacity as they went head-to-head with the Wolves. It was clear these two teams are cut from the same cloth as they volleyed point over point, keep each other on their toes. Set number three ended with the Wolves pulling ahead and ending with a victory of 25-18, going 3-0 in the game. The Lady Cats show so much growth and a representation that goes far beyond their team colors.
The Harlem Wildcats Volleyball team's next game is scheduled to be Monday, October 14, at 7:30 PM.
