Christina Dodd is the author of “A Daughter of Fair Verona.” This is the first novel of an entertaining new series based on an irresistible premise - Romeo and Juliet’s clever and independent daughter in fair Verona - told from the point of view of Rosie Montague herself.

“The Wilds” is by Sarah Pearse. Kier Templer escaped her hometown to live on the road in an attempt to leave behind the dark events of her childhood. She and her twin have never lost contact until Kier vanishes without a trace on a trip to a Portuguese national park. Detective Elin Warner arrives at the same park intending to spend time in the vast wilderness. When she learns about Kier’s disappearance and the disturbing map she left behind, Elin must untangle the clues to find out what happened to Kier.
