October is flying by, with all of it’s beautiful colors. Soon, we will be seeing little goblins out looking for treats! Speaking of Halloween, we once again, are inviting all of the children within our little community to stop by the Center and TRICK or TREAT from 3:30-5:00, on Halloween! We would be thrilled to treat them. We will, once again, have a special menu for that day, and many of us will be in costume!
If you have this paper in time, PLEASE KNOW that Wed., Oct. 23rd @ 5:30, is our first in the Speaker Series, to partner with Sam French, Blaine County Museum Director, for the first presentation of:
HOMESTEADING in Montana, Cottonwood and Simpson communities, presented by Elaine Morse, from the H. Earl Clack Museum. We will have Charcuterie Boards and beverages available for your palate. See you all here!
We are always excited to partner with Sam French for these wonderful opportunities to learn more about history and all that we have available to us. A huge Thank You to Sam French for bringing these presentations to Chinook, and to our Center!
We understand that the Chinook Chamber of Commerce still has room for more participants for the Murder Mystery weekend happening on Oct. 25th & 26th! This is a MERCHANT BOOSTER for our community, however, because Doug Mitchell is preparing a PRIME RIB dinner, for Saturday, Oct. 26th, you MUST call 265-0803 prior to noon on Oct. 24th to sign up for dinner, or to register a team! Get in on the fun and support our wonderful community!
We are delighted to announce that Virginia Olson not only celebrated her 103rd birthday with us, she also represented Blaine County as our Centenarian @ the Governor’s Conference on Aging. I was unable to attend, however this delightful lady had several family members to keep her company in Billings! Hooray, Virginia! You are amazing!
We are told that Steve Hughes and several other band members will be with us on Saturday, Nov. 9th to celebrate Stan Wall’s 88th birthday, right here, at our wonderful Center from 2:00-6:00! We are very excited about this, as they will be playing delightful music! Mark your calendars. This group initially hailed from the earlier Poets & Pickers! This is certain to be fun!
