Harlem Hosts Final Meet before State; Walker takes first

The Harlem Wildcats and Lady Cats Cross Country played host to the last regular season meet for Blaine County Athletes. Harlem finished fist as a team and freshman, Ethan Walker led the pack finishing the course in 16:33.37.

Sophomore Jayvon Bigknife earned a second place finish with a time of 17:24.30. Freshman Treyton Mount was the fourth runner to cross the line, finishing with a time of 17:33.97. Sophomore Orion Cuts the Rope rounded out the top 10 with a time of 18:11.58.

Sophomore Lathan Blackwolf finished in 19th place with a time of 18:53.74; Junior Sebastian Rutherford finished 51st with a time of 21:14.88; senior Seth Ironchild finsihed 58th with a time of 22:31.18; Daythen Johnson finished 59th with a time of 22:33.34; sophomore Carter Lawrence finished 61st with a time of 23:29.58; Sophomore Romeo Main rounded out the Harem runners placing 63rd with a time of 23:53.76.

On the girls side the Harlem Lady Cats earned a second place team finish. Leading the way for the Lady Cats was junior Emma Klingaman. Klingaman placed 5th overall with a time of 21:05.99. Senior Aaraya Mount earned a seventh place finish with a time of 21:48.95.

Tearia Sunchild finished the course with a time of 23:29.52, earning a 17th place finish; freshman Ramarrah Camel placed 19th with a time of 24:13.72; Freshman Tahilia Walker finsihed in 24th place with a time of 26:18.79.

The Harlem Cross Country team is looking forward to competing at State in Missoula on Saturday, October 26th. Class B Girls race at 11am and Class B Boys race at 12pm at the UofM Golf Course.
