Lucille Demarest Ritter

Lucille Demarest Ritter, born in Great Falls, MT on October 15, 1922, passed away at the age of 102 on October 17, 2024.

Lucille was raised on a ranch in the Sweetgrass Hills, graduated from Chester High at the age of 16. She married Clarence Ritter of Rudyard, MT in Seattle on January 2, 1942. They moved to a farm in Turner, MT in 1945 where they raised kids, grain and a few cows. They retired and moved to Lakeside, MT in 1976.

Lucille was a great homemaker, a loving mom, a wonderful neighbor, and an active member of the community. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, her son Claude and her parents and siblings. She is survived by daughters Harriet Mauritsen (Pete), Donna Turcott (Gary), Carolyn Jorgenson (Gary) and her sons Russell (Laura) and Ted (Debbie). She leaves 12 grandkids, 16 great and 3 great-great grandchildren.

We love you, Mom. Thanks for showing us how to live a good life.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 3 PM at Buffalo Hill Terrace, 40 Claremont St, Kalispell. Burial services will be held in Turner at a later date. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home is caring for the family.
