Beeters Travel to Fort Benton

The Chinook Sugarbeeters were hosted by the Longhorns in Fort Benton for a rowdy and intense game of football! Although a lionhearted endeavor, the Longhorns ultimately took the victory.

In quarter one, the Longhorns didn't waste time in making their first touchdown just 51 seconds into the game. After a failed conversion, the score was 6-0. The 'Beeters made their return to the 22-yard line. Shortly after returning the ball, the 'Beeters put their first touchdown and complete two-point conversion on the board. 8-6. 'Beeter boys were relentless as they brough their next touchdown, leaving quarter one with a score of 14-6.

The second quarter was a fight for making headway, which is exactly what the Longhorns did. The 'Beeters made a successful touchdown; all the while the Longhorns brought a whopping four touchdowns. The second quarter ended with a score of 34-22.

As the second half of the game began, quarter three was a stalemate between each team not letting much happen. With just four minutes left in the quarter, the Longhorns scored the only touchdown in quarter three, cementing their headway 40-22.

With three touchdowns being completed in the final quarter, the Chinook 'Beeters made sure to let the Longhorns know they weren't finished. The Fort Benton boys wasted no time with just two minutes into the game bringing their score up 48-22. Chinook 'Beeters had a successful touchdown with a completed two-point conversion. 30-48. As the clock ticked down, the Longhorns made the final touchdown of the game with under two minutes left in the game, securing their victory 56-30.
