We've Got The County Covered

Chinook Senior Center

Hello From the

Chinook Senior Center

We had another great week, here! WE had Elaine Morse from the H.Earl Clack museum, in for a presentation on Homesteading on Wed., Oct. 23rd and found her presentation very interesting and enjoyable. Our next in the Speaker Series (in partnership with Sam French, Blaine County Museum Director, will be Wed., Nov. 13th @ 5:30: Micah Chang: presenting Agriculture during WWl & WWll.

If you are able to come in and enjoy these presentations, PLEASE DO SO! We feel very fortunate to have these here and would enjoy your company!

On Saturday, Nov. 9th from 2:00-6:00, we will be having many former Pickers in to celebrate Stan Wall’s 88th birthday! This is something you don’t want to miss, because there will be wonderful music and a great time!

As many of you may know, I hosted the 1st Annual Murder Mystery Weekend for the Chinook Chamber of Commerce, this past weekend. It was so much fun to see all of the local participation and the wonderful costumes that people wore! It was a super fun weekend. I can’t thank Doug Mitchell enough for cooking our dinner of Prime Rib. Also, a very special thank you to Bonnie Ortner who played a very integral part in our story. She was great! Fun was had by all, but no-one guessed the answer.

We understand that the American Lutheran church, here in Chinook will be hosting a Soup lunch on Sun., Nov. 17th from 11:00-2:00 for a Free Will Offering. Please know that they will have a great selection of soups, rolls and desserts to offer! Mark your calendars for that one!

I suppose that we are all anxious for this contentious election to just get over with! Pray for a good outcome, for our country!

WE ARE STILL SEEKING PEOPLE WHO MAY WISH TO DONATE ONE HOUR, EACH WEEK TO MAKE OUR DELIVERIES FOR MEALS INTO OUR COMMUNITY. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS WORTHWHILE DONATION TO OUR COMMUNITY. WE ARE ALSO STILL SEEKING AN ASSISTANT COOK FROM 8:00-1:00 MON.-FRI. WE HAVE A GREAT TEAM TO WORK WITH. NO PHONE CALLS, PLEASE APPLY IN PERSON AND ASK FOR GINGER OR HOWARD.

We are looking forward to the Thanksgiving season to gather with our families and friends. That brings to mind the COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING DINNER, held at the COMMERCIAL BUILDING. We have the sign ups here, so please stop in and sign what your needs are
