The Chinook Volleyball Team takes 2nd Place, Bozeman bound

The Chinook Sugarbeeters' Volleyball girls had an amazing weekend in the Divisional Tournament. The girls earned a 2nd place victory and a trip to the State Volleyball Tournament in Bozeman!

The Chinook girls opened the tournament with Malta and beat them in four sets. The 'Beeters have had an amazing season thus far and have not let up on the pressure. With sets ending as follows, set one 25-12, two 25-21, three 21-25, and four with 25-19.

Fairfield was next in the matchups and unfortunately lost that in four sets. This put the 'Beeters in the loser side of the bracket. Schoen had a whopping 10 kills. Olsen bringing 2 aces and 19 assists out of the 31. Malsam gave us 23 digs while Kelly brought 3 blocks!

The 'Beeters came back and beat Glasgow in four sets! Malsam and Fetter with 3 kills each. Sets 1 & 2 both ending with a score of 25-14. Olsen again helped with 23 assists! Set 3 ending with 18-25 and set 4 giving 'Beeter victory 27-24. Molyneux gave us 24 digs and Jensen gave us 3 blocks.

With the girls gaining velocity, they met up with Malta once more, beating them in 5 sets. This also secured the 'Beeters with a third-place finish. Sets were as follows, 24-26, 25-17, 25-20, 15-10. Molyneaux couldn't be stopped this game with 18 kills and 6 aces! Fetter delivering us 40 digs, Jensen with 5 blocks, and Olsen with 29 assists.

Saturday morning the Chinook girls faced Shelby and took the victory in 3 sets advancing to championship match against Fairfield! The 'Beeters fell in 3 sets against Fairfield and secured the 2nd Place spot in the Northern B Division! The Chinook Sugarbeeters show once again how well rounded their team is.
