We've Got The County Covered

Chinook Senior Center

Hello From the

Chinook Senior Center

We had the most marvelous gathering last Saturday, Nov. 9th, with 24 Pickers here, celebrating Stan Wall’s birthday! This house was full of fabulous musicians and the music was great! We are currently planning another gathering on Saturday, 1-4-25, from 12:00-4:00. We will serve a Soup & Bun lunch and would LOVE to know, in advance if you will be joining us for this fun-filled event! This will be a Free Will Donation, to the Chinook Senior Center! 357-2648

Our next Foot Clinic will be held on Monday, December 2nd. If you would like an appointment, please CALL us @ 357-2648! We would love to get you on the schedule!

Our Annual Auction will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7th @ the Eagles Club. Please, if you are considering donating an item, bring it to the Center and we will review it for the Auction. We always appreciate the generosity of others, however, we must make our list in advance and wish to preview the items to be auctioned.

Cassandra House, a missionary, currently serving in Indonesia, came and shared her two-year history of serving in that country! She is filled with the Holy Spirit and is a powerhouse of information.

Today, November 20th at 1:00 p.m., Ken Martin will be here sharing his love and old farm machinery with us and showing us many of his works in miniature. We are looking forward to his presentation. We will be serving Sweet & Sour Chicken that day, so….if you are planning to join us, please call prior to 10:00 a.m.! Thank you for your understanding.

We are also looking forward to Sam French, Blaine County Museum Director, sharing the final presentation (for this year) in our partnership with them, on Wed., Nov. 27th @ 5:30. She will be presenting: Gilbert Horn, Sr., Montana’s Patriot Chief. MARK your calendars for this one, as well!

Pinochle Marathon is in full swing. If you have not paid your dues, or if you wish to schedule a gathering here, please call me and make certain that our house is free for your hosting.

We always have something fun going on in here. GET IN HERE!

Our November Birthday lunch will be held on Friday, Nov. 22nd, with a Roast Beef dinner, with all of the trimmings. If you have a birthday in November, and we have somehow missed you, PLEASE CALL!

Wednesday, December 4th, we will have another Paint on Canvas class, entitled “Jingle All the Way” This will most assuredly be another fun class. WE NEED TO KNOW if you are joining us, as we need to have all supplies ready! PLEASE CALL!

We are still seeking people in our community who are willing to donate an hour or so of their lives to enrich the lives of others! We need volunteers as well as delivery drivers. WE are also still seeking an assistant cook, Mon-Fri.., 8:00-1:00. Please apply in person. See Ginger or Howard.

As we enter this season of Thanksgiving, we need to remind ourselves how very fortunate we are to live in this nation, where we still have the right to choose our religion, we still have the freedom of speech, we still live in the best place in the world, because of the sacrifices made by so very many who fought for these comforts that we all enjoy.

We will be CLOSED for Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 28th & Friday, Nov., 29th.

We wish you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving, shared with family & friends! The Community Thanksgiving dinner will once again be held at the Commercial Building, at the Blaine County Fairgrounds. You may call Kathy O’Brien for further details @ 406-399-0221. We also have the sign -up slips here, at the Center, for the Community Thanksgiving Dinner. If you are new to this area, you are fortunate to live in a caring community that embraces others.
