Community Thanksgiving Dinner has Good Turnout

Thursday's Dinner was well attended by community members on Thanksgiving. According to committee organizer Betty Billmayer, while in house dining was low, 143 meals were delivered or picked up during the day throughout town. Still 77 pilgrims managed to make the journey to the commercial building to enjoy good conversation and a meal of dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and bacon, cranberries, and of course the traditional turkey. Traditional veggies were also available including pickles, olives and carrots.

The event is organized by committee members Jay Eslick, Kathy O'brien, Toni Collins, Jim Doyle, Doug Mosser, and Heather Adkins as well as Betty and Mark Billmayer who plan and prep the dinner. They along with countless volunteers spend two days preparing the meal so no one in town has to go without a traditional Thanksgiving meal. The committee was thankful for good weather.
