The countdown is on, and Christmas will be here soon. If you need a break from all the hustle and bustle, stop in and take home a book to relax with. We have a nice selection of holiday books on the display table.

Friday December 20th at 1:00 p.m. we will have a special Christmas movie. We will be serving cocoa and cookies, so be sure to send your kids, or come watch the movie with them!

The library will be open from 10:00 to 3:00 on Tuesday December 24th. We will have Story Time for the little ones. We will be open regular hours December 26-27.

“Variation” by Rebecca Yarros is a contemporary romance about the summer a celebrated dancer returns home and unearths years of family secrets and deep regrets with the Coast Guard rescue swimmer she never forgot. We also have several thrillers available this week. “An Insignificant Case” by Phillip Margolin is a legal thriller. In “The Princess of Las Vegas” by Chris Bohjalian a Princess Diana impersonator and her estranged sister find themselves drawn into a dangerous game of money and murder in a twisting tale of organized crime, cryptocurrency, and family secrets on the Las Vegas strip. A woman is drawn into a mysterious web of secrets in “The Other Mrs.” by Mary Kubica.

Teen Scene, for grades 7 through 12, is Mondays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. There will be karaoke, Wii, board games and other activities. Story Time for preschool children is Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Kids’ Zone is on Tuesday for grades 3 through 6 from 3:45-4:50 p.m. There will be crafts, coloring and other activities available. Homeschool Hour is Wednesdays from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. The purpose of this program is to provide a place where home school families gather and learn from each other. We have a sign-up sheet for families to host future programs. If we have a week with no host family, we won’t have a program that week. LEGO Club is Thursday from 3:45-4:50. Fridays we show a family-friendly movie from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Children under five may attend LEGO Club and movies, but they must be accompanied by an adult. We look forward to seeing everyone.
