Beeters Fall to Eureka and Belt at Preseason Tournament

The Chinook Beeters were in Shelby this past weekend where they took part in Shelby's preseason tournament. The Beeters faced off against the Eureka Lions and the Belk Huskies.

The Beeters were within reach each quarter against the Lions, but were unable to catch them, falling, 63-54. Carson Nissen led the Beeters on the night with 18 points, including two threes. Ryan Bell connected four times behind the arc and went 4-4 from the line, adding 16 points for the Beeters.

On Saturday, the Beeters took on the Belt Huskies. The Huskies jumped out to a fast start, leading the Beeters 26-10. The Beeters took the lead in the second and fourth quarters, but it wasn't enough to give them the lead as they fell to the Huskies, 70-52. Nissen once again led the Beeters with 18 points and Bell tossed in 12.

The Beeters will be home for the first time this season in a non-conference game against the Fort Benton Longhorns on Thursday, December 19. They will head to Shelby on Saturday to take on the Coyotes in a 1B conference matchup.
