Local Standouts perform well at First Montana Pro Rodeo Curcuit Finals

MSUN Rodeo standouts Georgia Orahood, Malta, MT and Brittney Cox, Chinook, MT, competed in their first Montana Pro Rodeo Curcuit Finals in the Metra Great Falls, MT, January 9-11, 2025.

Georgia Orahood set an arena record in Breakaway Roping with a1.9 in the 2nd performance. It was short lived though when NFR competitor Joey Williams, of Volberg, MT re-set the record with a 1.8 run. Georgia won Breakaway Roping Rookie of the Year for her efforts.

Brittney Cox went into the Finals Barrel Racing in 5th place Leading for Rookie of the Year. Just a mere $300.00 ahead of 6th place contender Tammy Steadman, of Arlee, MT also a Rookie.

Brittney won 5th place in the average with time of 40.58 on 3 runs only a tenth out of 4th place time 40.48 made by NFR competitor, Brittney Sporer, Stephenville, TX.

For her efforts Brittney also won Barrel Racing Rookie of the Year.

These girls added to the excitement of the Rodeo and we are so proud of them!
