Harlem Library

You are invited to the third annual “Love Chocolate...Love Your Library!” party at the Harlem Public Library February 13, between 4:00 - 6: 00 P.M. This family friendly event is free and features chocolate temptations tastings, a photo booth, chocolate fondue, chocolate baked goods to vote on and possibly win, vendors selling chocolate confections, and Valentine cards to make and take.

The Book Challenge for February is to read a book that reminds you of home. You may win a gift certificate from a local business.

The library will be closed Monday, February 17 in observance of Presidents’ Day.

Community Heart and Soul will meet at the library Tuesday, February 18, noon - 1:00 P.M. This organization is a resident-driven process that engages the entire population of a community in shaping its future. Please feel free to bring your lunch.

The third Reimagining Rural gathering, sponsored by MSU Extension and Montana Community Foundation, will be held at the library Tuesday, February 18 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. You are welcome to come even if you have not been to the first two meetings.

Take time to stop by and check out a new book this week. “The Author’s Guide to Murder” is a novel by Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig and Karen White. “A crafty locked-room mystery, a pointed satire about the literary world, and a tale of unexpected friendship and romance - this novel has it all.”

W. Bruce Cameron is the author of “My Three Dogs.” A tragic accident separates three dogs from their human and they find themselves up for adoption - individually. Riggs, the loyal Australian shepherd, refuses to see his family torn apart and goes on a journey to bring doodle Archie and Jack Russell Luna back together again.

“That Librarian” is written by Amanda Jones, a small-town librarian, who is on the front lines of the fight against book banning in America.

Mike Lupica has written the latest Robert B. Parker Spenser novel “Hot Property.” Two new V.C. Andrews’ novels include “Chasing Endless Summer” and “Dreaming of Autumn Skies.” Mary E. Pearson is the author of the science fiction selection “The Courting of Bristol Keats.”
