We've Got The County Covered

Harold (Alan) Peterson

Alan was born September 27,1945 in Havre Mt to Harold & Letha Peterson. Alan passed away at the family home of ongoing cardiac issues on February 4, 2025 with Linda at his side.

Alan received his education in Chinook, graduating from Chinook High School in 1963. He then attended Northern Montana College. Alan also served his country by being a member of the Army National Guard of Montana, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant with the 2nd Squadron 163rd Armored Cavalry.

Alan started working at a young age with his Dad in the grocery store. He later worked for F.A. Buttery's, Speer's Implement, Bonanza Store, and Northern Natural Gas to name a few. I think his happiest time was when he set out on his own to form Alan Peterson Construction. Due to health reasons in his later years, Alan was unable to continue doing what he loved best. He would often tell people that he was an "Earth Surgeon" when asked what his occupation was. True to his devotion and character, Alan got out of the hospital on Monday, went home, got in his skid steer and plowed the snow from the area around the subdivision mailboxes on Monday & Tuesday. This was to be his last time in his skid steer.

Alan married Linda Brady Anderson in March of 1985 in Helena, Mt., with this marriage came the blending of two families. Todd & Kendra from Alan's previous marriage, and Sheryl from Linda's previous marriage.

Those gone on before Alan and waiting to Welcome him home, are his parents, Harold D. Peterson and Letha Mae ( Runyan) Peterson, along with many Aunts, Uncles and cousins, and his trusted Basset hound companion, Speedy.

Those left to mourn Alan's passing are his wife Linda, of the family home in East Helena, Mt. Son, Todd Peterson of Havre, daughters Kendra (Tary) Richardson of Missoula, and Sheryl Tangen of Billings. Grandchildren, Scott Roberts of Havre, Brad Peterson of Ely, Nev., Bailey Peterson of Evanston, Wyo, Evan and Kami Richardson of Missoula, Mt., and Lane Clark of Billings Mt. Great grandchildren, Kora, Charlene, and Robert Roberts of Havre, Mt. Alan is also survived by three brothers-in-law, David, Raymond and John Brady, and their spouses, along with nieces & nephews.
