Hello From the
Chinook Senior Center
Well, let’s just say that winter has arrived! Brrrr. Unless you must go out, please stay warm and safe! We would LOVE to see you, but you can call us, as well. Our main priority is to keep our community safe by delivering to them, if you need this service and if you are 60 years of age or older and have filled out some very brief paperwork! It really is that simple. You would then get the best meal around for an absurdly low cost. 357-2648
We have had people who’s vehichles would not start, and surprisingly we have been able to assist with this. We have also had people who have allowed their gas tanks to reach the empty mark and hadn’t filled them up, due to the inability to get their gas caps off. Please be reminded that you should NEVER let your gas tanks get that low and most especially in sub-zero temperatures! That is very dangerous. You can always pull up during business hours to Cenex and ask for assistance. They will most assuredly help you with this. Do NOT allow this to happen to you!
By the time you read this, we will have crowned our new Sweetheart King and Sweetheart Queen, again, as part of our Valentine celebration. We always want all of our guests to enjoy their time here at the Center, so we offer many and varied activities to achieve this goal.
We, in partnership with the Milk River Churches, will have served those who have first served us, by being any part of the Armed Forces on Saturday, Feb., 15th. We wish to honor those who have provided the privileges that we all enjoy. If you were not able to attend this year, we certainly hope to see your faces in here, next year.!
The Pinochle Marathon group is in full swing playing often to acquire all of the teams that they must challenge before the end of their year, which is April. Please remember that if you did not join this year and wish to do so, please call us and we can help to get you signed up for next year.
We also play Pinochle every other Friday, here at the Center, for those of you who desire a more relaxed atmosphere of the game. Just remember to call us and get signed up ahead of time, so that we can match our tables up. This is important as we do not wish to turn any away.
Many of you enjoy other activities, such as painting, or Diamond Dotz art, or Cornhole, or Pool. Yes, we have that too. We also have Cribbage. We enjoy a movie each week with friends, in a relaxed setting. Be a part of our community who enjoys all that our wonderful Center offers! GET IN HERE!
