We've Got The County Covered

Chinook Senior Center

Hello From the

Chinook Senior Center

We are all excited to see the spring weather and many green things emerging from our recently frozen ground! We have been blessed by Kasie McIntosh and Debbie Ramberg, who have purchased many Daffodils (to support the Hope project) at Shore’s Floral and we have thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and aroma of these very special flowers in our Center. They are such a bright and happy flower. We will be sad when this month is over and we are no longer able to obtain these beauties.

March is soon leaving us and we are in the season of Lent. We are offering, in respect of those who prefer not to eat meat on Fridays, during this season, a fish alternative, HOWEVER, we do need to know prior to Friday, if you prefer to have the option. We simply must know how much to prepare. Please call us and let us know no later than Thursday, if you prefer to have fish.

We have now painted and planted our pots for our Spring Fling Flower Thing! It will be exciting to see these things emerge from the soil.

We are winding down the Pinochle Marathon and will be having the end of season party on Saturday, May 3rd @ 12:00, here at the Center. Please talk with your Pinochle Marathon partners and determine what to bring for the Potluck.

I am once again hosting a Fussy, Fancy Mother’s Day brunch on Saturday, May 10th @ 11:00. Please mark your calendars. Posters will be out soon. We will begin a sign-up sheet for this again, this year, and hope to see you here!

The Quilt Guild Birthday party will be held at our Center, on Saturday, April 26th. Please, contact your appropriate person and make plans accordingly.

Our Foot Clinic will be held on Monday, April 7th. Your feet are a very important part of your overall health. If you are in need of an appointment, please call us @ 357-2648 and get your appointment scheduled.

Our regular Pinochle parties are scheduled every other Friday, so if you are wishing to play, please do call and get on the list so that we are able to match our tables up in advance. This helps to balance the tables as well as to print the tallies. Everyone always has a great time at these, so come and be a part of something fun.
